Family's is probably Walton's most popular restaurant. Owner Shelia grew up in the charming Boone County town, and employs some of her kin at Family's. You get made-from-scratch country cooking at Family’s. Breakfast is served all day. The three blueberry or apple pancakes served with whipped cream are big... and tasty. For lunch, Family's serves "burgers as big as your hand" made from Black Angus beef. The kitchen's pride is pan-fried chicken, served as a lunch special twice weekly. Southern appetites will savor the homemade chicken and dumplings. Family's serves a full dinner menu, including rib eye and T-bone steak, shrimp and homemade chili spaghetti. Save room for dessert; the mile-high homemade pies are a sight and taste to behold.
